Crazy Quilting

I hope everyone had a safe an happy Christmas.

While tidying my sewing room I came across two crazy patchwork stockings.  A friend wanted to make stockings for her grandchildren and the two I have are the ones I made while teaching her how to crazy patch.

I have decided to finish them and give them to my son and his wife when we visit in January. Woo Hoo can't wait they live in Perth across the other side of the country. A 4 hours flight away.

The black and red stocking is for my son so I have not used too many embellishments. The other one will be for Alexandra and I have had fun embellishing it.

I have joined the CQJP2013 project and have been working on the January Block.

I enjoyed making this block and renewing my embroidery skills. To get inspiration I love visiting Sharon b's In a minute ago www.inaminuteago.com  and  Pintangle  http://pintangle.com/  When visiting www.inaminuteago.com  click on I dropped the button box under the heading Crazy quilting and needle work. There is over 60 crazy patch blocks to look at and some pretty funky bra's to look at under the Community section.

Maureen Curlewis- Hope Springs Eternal

I had two themes in mind the season of Spring as Canberra and Toowoomba both celebrate with Floriade and the festival of Flowers. The second theme of Breast Cancer and the hope we all have good health.

Both the photo and caption are from the www.inaminuteago.com

If you visit these sites I hope you enjoy, there is lots of eye candy to look at.
